Presentation of novelties and discussion of current trends: International Bus & Coach Exhibition AutoBusExpo was successfully held in Moscow

The Premier and the only one B2B exhibition in Russia in the field of passenger transport — AutoBusExpo International Bus & Coach Exhibition with the static exhibition in the pavilion and dynamic LCV test drive at the outdoor site was held at the Crocus Expo IEC from the 19th to the 22nd of August 2025. New technologies in the field of passenger transport, current trends and manufacturers’ novelties were presented at the exhibition.

“AutoBusExpo exhibition showed the actual condition of the passenger transport market and presented the unique opportunity for every participant of the event to get the maximum benefit from the premier business platform. We discussed digitalization and safety of the bus fleets, met with the companies’ representatives from different corners of Russia, that have selected AutoBusExpo for new partners’ research. Agreements between the producers and operators for the joint growth and business development have been reached”, — stated AutoBusExpo director Ekaterina Martynova. 

The project is organised by the Sigma Expo Group company — organiser of the Leading Trade Fair for Commercial Vehicles and Technologies in Russia - COMvex.

Presentations and results of AutoBusExpo 2025 exhibitors

AutoBusExpo exhibitors are manufacturers of all types of buses, suppliers of accessories, and transport companies providing the full range of goods and services for passenger transport. Among the key participants are such companies as: Sollers, MAZ, Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant, ParadAvto-M, Transport Center, RusBusinessAuto, BusMotors and others. Among the brands: MAZ, Sollers, HIGER, AVIOR, Neman, Mercedes-Benz, Yutong and others.

The exhibition featured not only the classical diesel models of city and tourist buses, but innovative hybrid solutions as well.

Russian manufacturer Sollers has prepared the Sollers SA9 tourist bus before the official start of sales with low curb weight in the class of tourist buses - 13.4 tons, as well as an intercity bus SA6 and a passenger minibus based on Atlanta.

Minsk Automotive Plant, among the commercial transport models, presented on the booth, showed the two-axle tourist bus MAZ 351 of the third generation.

“Promtech” Plant presented “Rusliner” — a new Russian bus for commuter service “Rusliner”, including on roads with poor environment in the "city-village" mode.

“RusBusinessAuto” presented a new generation of HIGER buses of the V-V 12 and V 12 Pro series, on which the approach to production technology and components was completely revised.

The official bus dealer of the European brand AVIOR "ParadAvto-M" showed a passenger bus AVIOR Tourist for 29 seats.

Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant demonstrated the Neman-420435 tourist bus, which has already proven itself in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

At the KAMA TYRES booth, modern models of tires for buses and urban transport were presented: the KAMA PRO, FORZA lines, as well as specialized KAMA ICE TRACE solutions.

 Bus Motors presented the iconic Mercedes-Benz V-Classe, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 319 Business Line minibus and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 517 Tourist Line Bus category D.

Unique LCV test drive within the industry exhibition

A dynamic test drive of light commercial vehicles was a bright feature of the AutoBusExpo exhibition. It has no equivalents at other industry events. According to statistics, 786 unique races were held on 13 models of the presented equipment.

In four days “ParaAvto-M” company demonstrated current developments for the Russian commercial vehicle market with the help of two models of light vans, presented in new versions of increased comfort: Avior G10 and larger Avior V90.

Modern Transport Technologies Group of Companies presented the Aurora all-wheel drive minibus to AutoBusExpo visitors.

The all-wheel drive pickup Sollers ST8 in a bright design became the leader in the number of races - more than 100 races in four days proved the public's interest in a bright and practical model from the Russian manufacturer. According to the results of the awarding of the All-Russian annual competition "Leader of Mobile Trade" as part of the Trucks&Bus Forum business program at the exhibition, the model also received an award in the "Pickups" category.

On August 19, a closed Driving Competition was held for representatives of the industry media at the test drive site. Among the participants: "Za rulem", TECHNOmagazine, "Autobusiness News", magazines "Dvizhok", "Truck Press", "Autopark 5 Koleso", as well as bloggers Konstantin PRO, MotorProject and many others. The time of performing test drive exercises and the accuracy of their passage on vehicles of categories C (tractor MAZ-54402L) and B (LCV AVIOR V90) were evaluated. The victory was won by the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Autopark 5 Koleso" Mikhail Ozherelyev (category C) and the author of the magazine "Dvizhok" Vadim Askarov (category B).

Key moments of Trucks&Bus Forum business program

The point of professional attraction for specialists was a Trucks&Bus Forum Business program, that was visited by 791 delegates. Open dialogue over four days of business representatives, manufactures, industry associations, analytical and scientific centers, were dedicated to current questions of commercial and passenger transport market.

Trucks&Bus Forum key event was 20-years anniversary of "Unified Transport System "Bus Lines of the Country" Association at an open meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. During the meeting, the participants reviewed the work of the Association, discussed the initiatives implemented and future draft laws. Thus, First Deputy Chairman Boris Loran, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Transport of Russia Tatyana Gorovaya and others supported the bill submitted to the State Duma on the mandatory equipping of buses with air conditioners.

Together with RD Group was an expert session: “Passenger transport safety: modern digital systems serving drivers and passengers”, where speakers discussed important aspects of increased security on the passenger transport with the modern digital technologies usage.

In continuation of digitalization and passenger transport safety, Director of the transport solutions center of CTT group of companies Natalya Pletnikova underlined that the transition to alternative fuels is not a universal solution, but a strategic choice.

AutoBusExpo 2025 main figures

AutoBusExpo is an integral part of AutoCluster of industry exhibitions, that consolidates 3 directions at the one site: Trade Fair for Automotive Industry InterAutoMechanica, Commercial transport: exhibition and test drive ComAutoTrans and International Bus & Coach Exhibition AutoBusExpo.

The exhibitions brought together 503 exhibitors from Russia and 7 other countries. Premier exhibitions were visited by 22 802 specialists and more than 75% of them positively estimated the range of exhibitions.

 Thanks to the joint efforts, organisers and exhibitors determined significant potential for the development of the future passenger transport market and set a new level of exhibition events.
AutoBusExpo was attended by 4 697 professionals, highlighting its importance as a key industry event for the professional community. Among them were 34% general directors and heads of departments, 9% commercial transport dealers, and 7% representatives of governmental institutions operating bus fleets. Equally 13% of visitors were interested in the new business suppliers’ research and/or purchase of products and services.

Representatives of many large companies decided to visit the exhibition personally, including “Mostransavto”, “PROMTECH-Dubna”, Pro Bus, “Kaliningrad – GorTrans, State Unitary Enterprise “PassagirAvtoTrans”, “Rostov transport company”, “Metroelectrotrans” and others.
